Accounts
Who can use Muscle Radar?
Anyone aged 18 or over. It's starting in the UK.
Can I download it yet?
Not yet. It's coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Leave your email at the bottom of this page and we'll tell you when it's out.
Can I change my account type?
No. You choose gym-goer, trainer or gym owner when you sign up, and it can't be changed. Switching means making a new account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to your profile and tap Delete account. If you can't log in, email us. The full steps, and what happens to your data, are on the delete your account page.
Location and privacy
What can other people see about where I am?
Roughly how far away you are, for example "1 to 2 miles". Never your exact position.
What does ghost mode do?
Turn off Show me on Radar and you're hidden from the radar, the People list and name search. Your matches stay, and you can still see other people. It doesn't hide you everywhere, and your rough area is still stored. Section 1.2 of the privacy policy has the detail.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data.
Safety
What happens when I block someone?
They can't message you, send you a friend request or see your check-ins, and you drop off each other's radar.
How do I report someone or something?
Use Report in the app. You can report people, posts, messages and gyms. A person looks at every report, and we aim to deal with reports within 24 hours.
Plans and payments
What does it cost?
It's free to join. Premium is £4.99 a month, Trainer Pro £19.99 a month and Gym Business £49.99 a month. See pricing for what each one includes.
When do the daily swipe and message limits reset?
At midnight UK time.
How do I cancel a plan?
In your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Plans are monthly and renew until you cancel.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
No. A store subscription keeps going until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, so cancel it before you delete your account.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds follow Apple's or Google's refund policy, plus your rights under UK consumer law.
Gyms and trainers
My gym isn't listed. Can I add it?
Yes. In the app, tap Can't find your gym? Add it. A person checks each new gym before it goes live.
How do I claim my gym?
Upload a document that shows you run it. A person checks it, and if the claim is rejected we tell you why.
How do trainers get verified?
Request verification in the app and send your documents. If they're approved, you get a verified badge.
