Terms of Service
Effective date: July 2026 · Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Muscle Radar mobile app and website (together, the “Service”), operated by MR ECO SYSTEM LTD (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Please also read our
Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. It forms part of these Terms.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and MR ECO SYSTEM LTD. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. We may provide additional guidelines, community standards or rules for specific features; where we do, they form part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and you must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of the United Kingdom or any other applicable jurisdiction.
- If you use the Service on behalf of a business (for example, claiming a gym or trainer profile), you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business and to bind it to these Terms.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for the information you provide and must keep your account details accurate and up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at support@muscleradar.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised use.
- You may not share, sell or transfer your account, or create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without permission.
4. Licence to Use Muscle Radar
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use (or, for business accounts, to manage your own gym or trainer presence). This licence does not allow you to copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as permitted by law.
5. Acceptable Use
To keep Muscle Radar safe and useful for everyone, you agree that you will not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, impersonate or intimidate any other user, or post content that is unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose, or to solicit, promote or facilitate illegal activity.
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent information, including fake profiles, listings or reviews.
- Collect, scrape or harvest other users’ data, or use the location features to stalk, track or surveil any person.
- Upload viruses or malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
We may remove content or restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, at our reasonable discretion.
6. Your Content
- Ownership: you retain ownership of the content you create or upload (such as profile details, photos, posts and messages) (“User Content”).
- Licence to us: by posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content solely to operate, promote and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete your User Content or account, except where the content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or where we must retain it to comply with the law.
- Responsibility: you are solely responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights to post it and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or breach these Terms.
- Moderation: we may, but are not obliged to, review, moderate or remove User Content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law.
7. Meeting Others & Personal Safety
Important: Muscle Radar helps you discover gyms, trainers and people near you, but we do not verify or vet every user, and we do not conduct criminal background checks. You are responsible for your own interactions and safety.
- Take sensible precautions when arranging to meet anyone you connect with through the Service — for example, meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and do not share sensitive personal or financial information.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline, and we make no guarantees about the identity, intentions, or suitability of any person, gym or trainer you find through the Service.
- Use features such as Ghost Mode and your privacy settings to control who can see you and when.
- If you feel unsafe or encounter abusive behaviour, stop the interaction and report it to us at support@muscleradar.co.uk. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
8. Claimed Gym & Trainer Profiles
If you claim or manage a gym or trainer profile, additional responsibilities apply:
- You confirm that you are the owner of, or authorised to represent, the business or service you list, and that the information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
- You are responsible for the content you publish, any offers or claims you make, and for complying with all laws relevant to your business (including advertising, consumer, health and safety and tax laws).
- We may remove or suspend a business profile that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, fraudulent, or in breach of these Terms, and we may require verification before granting a “claimed” or “verified” badge.
9. Subscriptions & Payments
Muscle Radar is free to join. Some optional features or business tiers may require a paid subscription. Where they do:
- Providers: payments are handled by our payment providers — Stripe and, for in-app purchases on mobile, the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not store your full card details.
- Renewals: paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your account settings or, for in-app purchases, through your App Store or Google Play account.
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices or features, and will give reasonable notice before any change affects you. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new price.
- Refunds: refunds are handled in line with the relevant provider’s policy and your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores’ refund policies.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, the “Muscle Radar” name and all related intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to MR ECO SYSTEM LTD and is protected by law. Except for the limited licence granted to you in these Terms, nothing gives you any right, title or interest in the Service or our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without our prior written permission.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Google Maps for location features, Supabase for hosting, and the app stores for distribution). Your use of those features may also be subject to the relevant third party’s terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not endorse any third-party content, gym, trainer or business listed on or linked from the Service.
12. Service Availability & Changes
We aim to keep the Service available and working well, but we provide it on an “as available” basis and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may add, change, suspend or remove features, or all or part of the Service, at any time. Where a change is significant, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
13. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations not expressly set out in these Terms.
- Muscle Radar is a discovery and community platform, not a provider of fitness, medical or health advice. Always seek advice from a qualified professional before starting any exercise programme. We are not responsible for the services provided by any gym or trainer you find through the Service.
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and except as stated in section 13, MR ECO SYSTEM LTD will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100. If you are a consumer, these limits do not affect your statutory rights under UK law.
15. Suspension & Termination
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app — see how to delete your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably need to protect the Service or other users. Where appropriate, we will give you notice.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licences already granted to others, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will continue to apply after your account ends.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, the law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts. We would always encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue directly.
